For the ASAP’s tenth anniversary, we’ve created an award in the name of our founder, Amy Elias. It honors Amy’s work to create this association that is a home for us, too, by advancing our interdisciplinary mission in perpetuity, 4-eva.

The Amy J. Elias Founder’s Award is a travel grant, given to at least one member annually, beginning in 2018. Priority will be given to members who contribute notably to the interdisciplinarity of our conferences but lack sufficient institutional support to attend them because they are:

• independent artists
• traveling from outside the U.S., or
• working in contingent positions at U.S. institutions.

This year, the Amy J. Elias Awards will support two eligible members’ travel to New Orleans for ASAP/10. More information will follow as the conference program is set, and the Motherboard invites your contributions to the fund.
